Amen.

"Lowest IP address" seems so completely arbitrary and clearly causes
_unnecessary_ problems for cell admins.

Could someone from IBM please comment on this?

Unfortunately, we're in no position to be migrating to any custom-built
OpenAFS solution.  I should have mentioned that in my original message.
